Is LASIK painful?
It’s unlikely that you will experience any pain during the treatment, as the doctor applies numbing eye drops. After treatment, it’s possible you will feel a slight stinging and/or gritty sensation in your eye. These symptoms are temporary and usually disappear in a few hours. Most LASIK patients experience noticeable vision improvement the day after surgery. Many patients have good functional vision on the first day. Vision typically continues to improve steadily for a period of months. Everyone heals differently and in their own time.

How long will the LASIK procedure take?
The LASIK procedure requires 15-20 minutes per eye. But the before and after treatment care lasts about 90-minutes. Plan to spend approximately two-hours in the office on the day of your LASIK surgery.
You will not be able to drive after immediately following LASIK. A responsible adult driver is required to accompany you. Most patients are able to drive the next day.
