Brad Novey, M.D. is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist who provides medical and surgical eye care to patients of all ages with a particular interest in cataract and refractive surgery.
Born and raised in Pennsylvania, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Brandeis University in Waltham, MA, in 1998 and graduated Cum Laude.
Four years later, Dr. Novey received his medical degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Novey completed a one-year transitional internship at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center in Reading, PA.
Dr. Novey completed his Ophthalmology training at Washington Hospital Center/Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC, where he became well-trained in all aspects of comprehensive eye care.
In 2006, he entered private practice in southern New Hampshire. Dr. Novey relocated to North Carolina and has been in practice in the area since 2012. He joined North Carolina Eye, Ear, Nose & Throat in 2016.
Dr. Novey specializes in a wide variety of advanced vision correction procedures, including Cataract surgery with Acrysof ReSTOR, toric lens implants, Crystalens accommodating lens implants, and has extensive experience performing custom bladeless LASIK on both VISX and Alcon platforms.
He lives in Chapel Hill with his wife, Shama, and two children, Ronak and Lela.
